Live to ride another day…

Well…the STORM OF THE CENTURY turned out to be just that. And out of concern for our bikers and event organizers the EPIK Super Bowl Ride has been canceled. Your enthusiastic support for this event has been a great encouragement to us all, and we will be working on a revised plan to conduct another ride when Texas looks more like this:

Feb. 2 Update

Seriously…how bad can it get?

Ok…so the”STORM OF THE CENTURY” might actually be the storm of the century. WE’RE STILL RIDING ON SATURDAY because the pimps don’t care and they’re hard at work selling our kids. The forecast still looks decent, but we wanted to let you know that IF YOU’RE NOT COMFORTABLE ON 2 WHEELS, COME ON 4! The safety of everyone involved is our highest priority.

Rally points and departure times HAVE NOT CHANGED, so come in your car if you feel safer doing so. JUST COME! Our goal is still the same: ride to end demand for prostituted kids in Texas. We will provide window signs for cars at each rally point along with maps. Remember, the Traffick911 Tailgate Party is the end of our route and if you care about stopping this tragedy in Texas, this is the place to be. You’ll be both educated and inspired.

You can find a map of our projected route from Longhorn HD to Mansfield here.

January 30 Update

Less than a week until we ride to end the demand for prostituted kids in Texas! Looking forward to meeting all of you in person. We can only hope (and pray) that the weather next Saturday is like it was yesterday! Below are some updates for the ride that we want to make you aware of.

Schedule:

To simplify logistics, Fort Worth HD has graciously agreed to be the starting point for west side riders rather than New River Fellowship. North and east side riders will depart from HD of Dallas in Allen and riders on the south side will meet up at First Baptist Mansfield.

Each of our three groups will meet at their respective staging areas no later than 9:45 a.m. next Saturday. Please allow adequate time to check in; riders will be asked to sign a simple liability waiver at each location and a suggested $10 donation is requested to help cover costs for the ride and begin the process of building EPIK Teams in the Metroplex.

West and North side groups will leave their sites at 10:15 and meet up at Longhorn Harley Davidson by approx. 11 a.m. Weather permitting, riders departing from First Baptist Mansfield may leave earlier. PLEASE CONTACT DAVID PEYTON AT FIRST BAPTIST TO CONFIRM DEPARTURE TIME IF YOU PLAN TO RIDE WITH THE SOUTH SIDE GROUP.

We will huddle for a brief orientation before departing for the main stretch of our ride. A map of the route from there will be posted on this site by Wed. and hard copy maps will be available on ride day.

Ride Captains have been assigned for the front, middle and rear of the group from Longhorn to the Aristide Event Center. Once at the event center, riders are invited to stay as long as you like to listen to the speakers, hear the music and learn more about the positive things being done throughout Texas to fight human trafficking. Feel free to depart whenever you need to at this point.

Please understand that this schedule is subject to change due to road closures and weather. We’ll do our best to keep things current in the next several days, but keep checking this site for the most current info. We want to thank all of you for your enthusiasm and willingness to stand up for kids. Your efforts are not in vain.
